Happy Birthday to Me!

Wednesday was my 28th birthday, and I had a nice dinner at home...nursing Madi while I was eating my bacon-wrapped filet mignon. :) Tonight was the part I was really looking forward to though! My girlfriends/sisters and I had dinner and drinks at Chili's, and then we went to the movies and saw "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock. It was so funny and we had so much fun! Here we are at Chili's...from left to right is me, my best friend Alicia, my sister-in-law Nayeli, my sister Crystal, my niece Brittney, my sister Tracie, and Tracie's sister Amy.

Austin stayed home with Madi, and they did great. She was a little Piglet though...I was gone for less than 6 hours and he had to give her formula because she drank all the breast milk I left for her! I can rarely get her to drink out of a bottle, and Austin has a hard time if I'm sitting there. But she's got us all figured out, because she did it fine when I wasn't here! :)

And Emily went to Papa's for her first sleepover away from home! She got a special suitcase just for this big milestone. And of course Papa got her an extra special balloon. I talked to them on my way home from the movie and she was still wide awake and having fun! :)

I had a wonderful time and I'm lucky to have such great friends. I'm also lucky to have a great dad and husband that I can trust my baby girls with! I definitely think we need to do this "girls night out" thing more often...now I know what people mean when they say taking time for yourself makes you a better mom!
