2 Months Old!

I cannot believe that Madilynn is already two months old. I also can't believe that this is the age Emily was when she first came home from the hospital. Wow.

Madi has changed so much already, smiling a lot, getting excited when I pick her up to hold her, and trying so hard to "talk." Thanks to her miracle Gripe Water (a mixture of ginger and fennel), she has not had any colic episodes in 3 weeks, minus the two nights we were out and didn't have the Gripe Water. Trust me, there is now a bottle in every diaper bag. :) She is a snuggle bear, and sleeps much better when she is held than when you lay her down. She is doing well with the nursing, and at her check up last week, measured 21 1/2 inches and weighed 9 pounds 9 ounces. She is going longer between feedings, lasting close to three hours now instead of two or less. At night, she's been going 4 hours, sometimes more. Last night was her best night yet...she went to sleep at 9:00pm and didn't wake again until 3:45am. She nursed, went right back to sleep, and didn't wake again until 6:45am. It was great!

She loves looking at pictures on the wall, the ceiling fan, and her Big Sissy. Especially when Sissy has a balloon. Madi just stares and smiles away!
