Today is Ansley Ziermann's 2nd birthday! We celebrated on Saturday at her Sesame Street party (with the primary focus on Elmo). :) Here are Madi and Emily in their party clothes...

Madi behaved very well, which in "Mommy of a 7 week old" language translates to "She slept most of the time." :) Emily had tons of fun playing in the water toys and swinging on the swing set. She showed very little interest in the balloons because she preferred to be outside instead!
We sang Happy Birthday to Ansley, who typically does not enjoy being the center of attention, and seemed a little unsure as to why this crowd of people were singing in her face!
Later in the evening, I took Emily swimming in the big pool with the other Mommies and their "babies." This was the first time Emily has been swimming in a big pool since she has developed this obsessive love for playing in water. I have to say I have never seen Emily so happy in my life! From the second we got in until we got out, she had me smiling and laughing. She was splashing and screaming, kicking her legs and just cracking up. Never once could I get her to kick her legs in swimming lessons. In fact, it was virtually impossible then to pry her away from my body without her taking my bathing suit with her! But she showed no fear this time, and I think we will be spending lots of time at Papa's pool this summer! Sorry no video or pictures of it though, because Austin was inside with Madi! :)
UPDATE: Alicia had one picture of all of us in the pool, so here it is! You can definitely see that Emily is yelling and having a blast!
