Big Girl Bed!

It seems like I was just picking out the bedding for her nursery, but it's already time for Madi to sleep in a big girl bed! She climbed out of her crib for the first time last week, and has done it every day since. She's pretty agile so I wasn't worried about her falling necessarily, but we didn't want to risk her getting an arm or leg caught in the rails on the way down. Her crib converts to a toddler bed in seconds, just by taking off the drop-down side. Madi got a kick out of being able to climb in and out of her bed like Sissy's!


From watching her on the video monitor, I know that she rolls around a LOT while she is sleeping. I was hoping when she fell out of bed (because I knew she would) that she would at least stay asleep. She landed on her Backyardigans couch and never woke up. :)


Emily only rolled out of bed the first two nights in a toddler bed, and has never fallen out since. So I was hoping the same with Madi, but it didn't happen. She even started falling out and winding up upside down too. :) We picked up a bed rail for her yesterday, and she stayed in bed overnight and during her nap today! Such a big girl!
