We had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. We had the parade on in the morning while we worked on preparing dinner, just like when Jessica and I were little girls and Dad was in the kitchen. Thank goodness for DVR though, because we saw the Mickey Mouse balloon just as they were going to commercial. So I hit rewind and showed it to Emily, and she had a huge smile on her face! :)
Madi absolutely loved munching out on Thanksgiving dinner, and she made little yummy noises the whole time she was eating. Emily had her own pureed sweet potatoes and turkey, and several bites of whipped cream too. :)
Emily stayed the night at Papa's, and after only a couple of hours of sleep, I got up at 2am to head out Black Friday shopping! I was at Toys R Us by 2:45am...crazy, I know, but I was done shopping at all the stores and home by 7:30 in the morning! I don't think Madi even had a chance to notice that I'd been gone! :) I got everything I was looking for, with the exception of one thing for Emily that I'll continue to keep my eyes open for. It was a successful day, and we even went out again (so that was 2 rounds for me!) around 9am to a different part of town to do some more shopping. I think I'm done for just about everyone though, and I've run out of hiding spaces!
