Not Quite Ready...

So after a little over a month, we have decided Madi was not as ready for school as we (or she) thought. She had a great first week, but after that, she was so upset, literally crying from drop off until pick up. I was hopeful that she would adjust, but it started to really change her whole personality. She went from being independent and sassy, to whiny and clingy and just plain sad. She was waking up several times a night, crying about going to school. She was barely eating and wasn't playing or happy, even on days she didn't have to go to school. So we decided there was no reason for her to continue going anymore...the only reason we started sending her is because we thought she was ready and wanted to go. That's obviously changed! So she's back at home with Mommy, and she's already making improvements. Hopefully she can get back to her old self soon. :) We have quite a bit of time until she's old enough for VPK, so we'll just try again when she's older! For now, she thinks she "finished" school and it's all done for summer. ;)
