Happy Easter!

It was definitely a busy weekend in the Rouse House, with Madi's birthday, Easter, and Brittney and Cody visiting from South Carolina. We managed to get it all done, but I woke up Monday morning already planning for an afternoon nap. :)

Saturday night, after Madi's party, we colored Easter eggs. Madi had a lot of fun choosing the colors and decorating the eggs, and Emily of course just wanted to splash in the egg dye!

On Easter morning, we were just starting to wake up when we heard Emily stomping through the house...turns out after wiggling door knobs for the last several months, she's now figured out how to use them to open the doors. We were hoping maybe this day was just a fluke, but she seems to have gotten the hang of it now and has done it several times. :) Anyway, since the curtains were still closed and she likes to play in them, she went straight to wear her Easter basket happened to be hidden!

Madi has been hoping that the Easter Bunny hides her basket up high, and he must have heard her, because she got her wish! :)

After a quick trip to Home Depot to replace our suddenly broken kitchen faucet (Happy Easter to us, lol), we headed over to Granny and Pap Pap's to spend the afternoon with Alicia's family. We went there last year as well, and we have so much fun. Everyone is so friendly and there are lots of kids to hunt for eggs. There were well over 400 eggs hidden this year, so the girls made out like bandits!

Around dinner time we headed over to Crystal's for Easter dinner with Brittney and Cody, Crystal and Billy and the boys, Steve and Nayeli and their boys, Brittney and Cody, and Shawn. The kids had another little Easter egg hunt there too, and since Mimi and Ooey hid the eggs, Madi did pretty well. :)

We got home around bedtime and Austin went right to work on the faucet. He got it replaced with no issues and the busy day was finally over! What a great weekend, but whew!!
